I am honored and proud to serve as your North Carolina Representative from House District 33. Representing our district has been a humbling experience, as well as a privilege. My ten years experience on the Wake County Board of Education and two years as Chair, provided me with a great deal of knowledge and insight, contributing to a greater understanding and appreciation of the issues confronting the people of North Carolina.

Serving as your State Representative has allowed me to continue my passion for improving the quality of education for all children as well as establishing priorities for job creation and economic development.  My many years of experience as an elected official have afforded me the opportunity to develop an understanding of the complexity of the issues that face our district and our state.
